Widgets and Lock Screen widgets show favorite posters, upcoming movies from your list and the next episodes to watch at a glance. B.Roll keeps your watchlist visible even when the app is closed.

Design Process

B.Roll evolved through several iterations, each focused on reducing friction and aligning more closely with Apple's design language.

Research included deconstructing successful apps of the same category like TV Time, Must, Letterboxd, to understand clean search experiences, discovery and simplified navigation. These insights shaped the current structure: three core tabs (Explore, Movies and TV Shows plus Search) with clear hierarchy.

The current version adopts liquid glass design system, making the app feel native on iOS and iPadOS.
